Lock stock seqeunce

Above is a remake of the lock stock seqeucne, while it isn't a thriller i was able to experiment with various shot. Furthermore it helped increase our editing, and camera techniques, and would then allow us to be capable of applying them to our thriller.

Practice task

Above is a practice peice of work that was created in order to portay that we understood some of the elements that are evident within a thriller. Furthermore within this we focused on match on action, enigma codes. Primarly because they're usually harder to have inside a thriller, and we wanted to practice at using them.

Sucker Puch trailer - Titles

The reason that i actually uploaded this Sucker Punch was because of its titles which in my opinion wouldn't suit the thrillers immensely because of the fact that it seems a bit action like but i like the style and effects of the titles. In addition i believe that the fact that they have a sort of shining effect on them gives them a definitive structure. In addition i don't like the fact that it appears on a plain black screen because of the fact it just seems extremely cliche and quite unimaginative, i think that it would've looked better if incorporated inside the film sequences, however it is a trailer, and not the actual film.

Buried

This was essentailly part of our groups inspirations concerning the narrative becuase as suggested by the title of the film it deals with someone being buried, which represents a sense of restriction, and a lack of control, something that we wanted to incorporate within our thriller. In addtion this trailer merely consists of a black screen, and a man talking to the police, and evetually a light appeared showing that he's inside of a box. I liked this concept becuase i felt that it really did help with the way in which we wanted our audience to feel, which was isolated, disorientated and vulnerable, much like the guy in this trailer. In addition i liked the fact that it started in black becuase it caused there to be theatre of mind because the audience had to imagine the situation he was in, and figure out the reasons behind it, which invoked a sense of fear, and confusion, which is something that i wanted to establish within our opening sequence.
